Everyone start talking about where you are staying. At the Quality Inn?Or at Chaulk Bluff?Chaulk Bluff have cabins and tent areas and offer weekly rates. It's on the Nueces River.Cabins have fridge/microwave and fire pits outside same as the tent areas. It will be off-season rates but a $40 deposit is required ahead of time for cabins or tents.Google them and get all the info.Everyone talk amonst yourselves and let the rest of us know.Don't leave it up to Nana, she procrastinates 'til the last day.Love that gal though!

Im camping,, are we ready for the campers club thread yet? and what are our options

Probably so,TC.There is Chaulk Bluff and Spanish Dagger,I've posted their websites earlier. The only other places, many, are in Concan. It's a little further and more expensive for all those places.

I am also expecting to have at the hunt, an unannounced but well known figure who may join us for a bit, just for the relaxation and camaraderie.

Well, I see from the posts above that BOTH the parties I've been working on have gone public. Now I'm left with no surprises.

Should be lots of fun, without the surprises though. WSD, I think I might just detect the slough even if it's dry... :) Probably just use the Ace 250 if I do!

Gypsy, you're a little out of the way for me, but if nothing else works out, I'll come and get you........... :) Keep in touch, just plan to go.

Bill informed Brian and I this evening that we need to go and Marc had told me I had to keep October open so we will see what we can figure out.

Where's Evy? She's disappeared! Last I heard she said she was going to her corner but I didn't know it was putting her in a 'time-out'!I thought she was out looking for a doghouse or something. We need a countdown pretty quick.MG,where are you?You ok?Still tick free?Foot ok or you got a wooden leg now?

I saw that, Daddy! If it weren't so true, I'd argue the point with you. :laughing7: :-*

http://www.chalkbluffpark.com/accommodations.html They have tent/cabins,etc.Off-season rates start on 15 Oct.It's 15mi from Uvalde on the Nueces river.
On the accommodations site, click up above for campsites.Once it is decided how many are going to camp, you can try and negotiate a better rate.

I believe the campsites at Chaulk Bluff do have restrooms/shower/firepit/picnic tables?
The cabins and duplexes seem to have fridge/microwave/stove/ac.

BTW, at the Chaulk Bluff site, she told me that a $40 each tent, deposit was required ahead of time. She thought no matter how many tents, everyone should be in the same general area and no problem with a fire in the pit and singin' and whatever.

http://www.spanishdagger.com/ Their website is a little old and I couldn't reach them on the phone. They have boat rentals/fishing also. Some of you may want to check them out also and let us know.
