Yes, I’ve come across many of these regarding WW Wilbur. Seams like quite a character of a business man back in the day.

people had to Buy their Seating ?

no Festival Seating

I would have Thought Churches were First Come, First Serve.

If you ever visit some of the old churches some of the pews had name plates on them for each family. Had to have money to get the front seats.
