Here is another one from the same book which is the third edition 2010. Note that the dimensions are slightly different from the last one I posted.

I'm not sure why you continue to try and disprove my find, but again this is not my plate design Steve.. Guess mine is rarer than I thought. It is not in either your book nor the one I posted of the plate you continue to show me with a different description.

Here's a little more information to scratch your chin to.
US Artillery button's specific time-period depends on whether it says "REG'T" or "CORPS" below the cannon. Reg't is 1802-1808. Corps is 1814-1821.
My wife's war of 1812 artillery button found close by I pictured says REG'T dating her button 1802-1808

I would like to point out that neither of these designs match my plate. Refer closely to my eagles neck and you will see they are not the same.

I agree. The necks are definitely not the same. I'm not an expert by any means but this is easy enough to see for any novice. Unbelievable finds and I wish you the best of luck on future hunts

Nice recovery on the belt plate. I found one in NY in 1997 that is very similar but not exactly the same, mostly because of the eagle's head feathers. Congratulations on some great finds!

Is that white, green and red thing a marble? It looks one of the marbles made in China way back when.
