Re: What are these freaky things?

I know!
They are a rare object that we won't believe our eyes when we see them. They were inside a green glass bitters bottle from somewhere in the 13th to 19th century. But that's not really them and you aren't going to show them to us because we didn't support you. But if we say congratulations you might show them to us on our pm, but you sold it to a guy who knew what they were and now you can't tell anyone . What else could it be? ::) No clue, looks like halves of a stuffed olive with no pimento?. ;)...Monty

I found these together in the same hole. They look like brass eyes ;D, perhaps evidence of robot overlords of the 18 century?
You said they fit together. If you put them together and ran a screw through the holes you might have a nice drawer pull or knob. What do you think?

Re: What are these freaky things?

More good guesses but I don't think that it would be a pull knob. They just don't seem uniform enough for that. Here are a couple more pictures. One is of the insides and the other is the pieces put together.

When you put them together it looks like a knob for a dresser drawer or cabinet.

Just my two cents.

Probably a very crude knob or drawer pull...
Could be a decorative item off a item of tack....Really dont think its anything unique...

Yeah, baby! Tack is the most likely answer. I'll split the check with you if Romeo-1 sends it.

Now Michelle, don't start the candle holder thing again! And Romeo When I said don't think they are anything unique, I was not putting them down. I just meant that the were not off a exotic item or a alien relic...I said they could be tack but there is no decoration..

;) ;D
