You can also roast the sample,if it is sylvanite,tellurium,calaverite or other sulphides the gold will come out in its normal form.But it does not really look like one of these due to the squarish crystal look to it.

Daryl, as I mentioned in May, send a sample to Reed for test S-3. It is worth the cost to get a real analysis.
