A little beach off of Mexican Hwy 1 down the west coast of Baja. 181 km from Tijuana. A family camping spot for more than 40 years. I'm sure I was even conceived there... My dad was born in Mexico and traveling down there with family became some of my very best memories. Shore fishing, eating fresh mussels and clams, exploring caves, huge beach bonfires. Nothing better than good family and friends.

Hypo means a lot of things:
low, under, beneath
increase, boost or augment
another name for sodium thiosulfate

I had no idea it meant any of those.......I just picked something.....I have used it for about 10 years. So...........sorry for the boring story!

Pie Grande means big foot. I have size 13's, which in Mexico is gigantic. I have introduced myself to people I knew via Internet by simply holding my foot up, and they laugh, and say, "Pie grande!!"

But he IS going to grow it back!

Deepskyal comes from my love of astronomy. Was an amature astronomer and had an awesome computer driven telescope that I guided with star charts from my laptop, where I looked deep into the sky.

A couple of very close friends with two small children... how do the children address me? Mr. Robin? Uncle Robin? Ian (four years old then) thought that since I had a beard, wore an earring, piloted a shrimpboat and wore a long fillet knife I MUST be a pirate. CaptainRobin I became... (I do have a USCG six-pack license, so I reckon I really am a captain) although in actuality I'm a retired United States Army soldier, SFC, Combat Engineer.
