mrs.oroblanco said:I know the Mayans predicted 12/12/12, but I don't remember Nostradamus 12/21/12 theory - I thought his was 1999 - Interesting info.
I figure, whether it happens or not - I cannot figure out a way to survive it, so, I guess I won't worry about it.
Of course, you have to hand it to Nostradamus - he has had some EXTREMELY un-nerving predictions - and he was a very intelligent man.

His predictions were written mostly in vague French prose, with some Latin, Greek and Italian thrown in. They are extremely confusing; full of esoteric metaphor and anagrams; they include few dates or specific geographical references and are not arranged in chronological order.
To be fair, these verses were intended to be mystifying, because Nostradamus said he was afraid he would be persecuted and his work would be destroyed if the authorities "fully understood" his predictions.
But esoteric quatrains with such imprecise and obscure terms could be interpreted over hundreds of years as foretelling world events simply by coincidence. Most of them refer to deaths, wars and natural disasters, which are events that are certain to occur again and again throughout history.
But he WAS definitely intelligent........................
