What is Everyones Theory on December 21, 2012?

my theory is most of the people that had these visions and schedules of death were drug induced visions of nostredameus and his society if they knew 911 would happen they should have said something and it could have been avioded and the myans were doped up alcoholics that were cannabils that were so violent they couldnt keep there own civilazation alive how could they predict the end of a people they never knew or met and when most of this was visioned or dreamt the world was thought to be flat and giant sea monsters would get you before you fell off the earth so my theoryof 121212 or 122112 ttttthhhhhhhppppppppp the good book says that god will come like a thief in the night unknown unseen and unheard by those of unpure heart which leaves 99.99% of the world so we had better get our gig line straight stow our gear properly stand tall before the man and have the head so clean the virgin mary could eat supper in there. other than that good nite and sleep tight later taters
I have to agree with the above. To all of the folks that go on and on about how great the predictions of old Nosti were, why haven't any of you done anything about stopping all of the disasters he predicted? Why is it we only hear about how amazing he was after some great calamity...?

I call it postdicting (rather than predicting). That's where you say, (after the fact) "clearly my vague quatrain about the great burning city referred to NYC on 9/11"

Hey guess what, lots of great cities burn, London, Chicago, Tokyo, Dresden, San Francisco to name a few.

Oooh, I'm getting a psychic prediction....a famous Hollywood entertainer/personality will die of a drug or alcohol overdose before 2012.

What gives ancient people the ability to predict the end of the world? Seems to me that they missed the part of their own ending - Aztec, Inca, Mayan and others. I think from an ecological stand point the planet has been going down hill ever the day the first proto human killed a predator. We have been out of balance with our planet ever since. We consume vast area of the surface for our ever increasing global expansion. The very forrests that give us oxygen are cut down to make toilet paper, whopper wrappers and untold tons of disposable newspaper to read about the deforestation. We as a species will no doubt be the cause of our demise unless by pure luck a giant asteroid crashes into the earth and saves us from the Road Warrior post apocalyptic wasteland where the main course is roasted rat with cockroach puree while we try get beyond Thunderdome.

I can just imagine someone having a "vision" and going to the police.

Hey, what might you get for your efforts? 3 square meals, a few drugs, and a pretty little suit that keeps your arms wrapped around your body!

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

So many naysayers, is probably why any such disaster scenario would have such a devastating effect. Too many will have their heads buried in the sand and many will die. :o
Naysayers of what? Predictions, or post-dictions, as coined above, are never available prior to some great disaster, so you're surely not referring to that. And as far as 2012 goes, since no one has been able to predict anything correctly up to this point, why are you so certain something's going to happen? Even more, what will happen that we should prepare for? Just saying that something is going to happen that day really has no meaning, as vauge as it is. Is it the end of the world, or of mankind? If that's the case, how far will your bottled water get you??

What is everyone's theory on December 21, 2012?

There will be great panic...
A constant stream of "special messages" on radio and TV...
Anxious crowds everywhere...
Streets filled with speeding vehicles...
Massive runs on stores and banks...
Overcrowded airports and terminals...
Mail, shipping, and communications logjams...
And all of this amid extreme weather conditions...

Only four days left until Christmas!

One of the best documented prophecies in history:
NOAA and Hurricane Ike. If you stay on the island you risk certain death
True or false or just plain sophmoric melodrama on the weather channel?

I doubt anything will happen. But I'm not going to do any Christmas shopping till the 22nd, just in case. :icon_scratch:

My bottled water will get me farther than your cynicism will get you. :o
Sooooooo......you admit that you don't know why you believe something will happen in December 2012, and that you don't have any idea what will happen, if anything?? Am I to assume that you only believe this because you read it somewhere? Online, no less? Well, that's proof enough for me!! If you can't believe everything written on the internet, then what can you believe, right??

In the history of the earth many times Mother Nature culls the herd - kills off the dinosaurs - drowns the people who laughed at Noah. I'd rather prepare for the things i can prepare for than to trust to luck and the kindness of the government. While others may be fighting and dying trying to buy food and water I will have enough to last until things settle down and hopefully get better. Actually the fewer the number of the people who prepare to survive the easier it is to survive for the people who try to prepare. You "experts" seem to be adults so I trust that you won't be crying if it turns out you were wrong. siegfried schlagrule

I watched another part of History Channel the other night on some more things of 2012. Of course the theory that the sun and planets will line up with the Milky Way and the earth, (which according to scientist happens every 26,000 years), possibly going into a rotational wobble for a period of time. With this type of situation that is theoretically might happen, I don't think it will be the end of mankind, but it will definitely cause changes in our environments so drastic and also cause disasters with floodings, continental change in land. All this will pose catastrophies worse than Katrina or any earthquake would ever have done. With the facts at hand, there will certainly be a national and world wide disaster that mankind will not be able to deal with much less handle, changes in weather conditions as well.

For the NON believers in Nostridamus, or other proficies. According to the writings of Nostridamus he pridicted 3 anti christs, the first being King Henry, the 8th, 2nd Hister, (which was really Hitler), and the 3rd he doesn't name but is supposed to wear a cape of blue and be from the Middle East. He also predicted long before the attacks on 9/11 as 3 missles being launched from hte East and striking in logitude and latitude on New York. I knew about this in the late 70's when I first came across a book about him. There are many people who read this. In his time and visions of jet planes crashing into the twin towers could have been missles to him as he saw war and famin in his visions and probably saw missles used for attacking. According to his vision on New York we were supposed to intercept 2 of the three missles and one missle makes it's mark in New York. Well, he evidently got part of it wrong, but it happened and we ALL saw it on the news the morning of 9/11. Also, OUR OWN government KNEW something was going to happen but didn't do anything, this was learned less than a year after the attacks, just like OKC bombing and OUR government DID NOTHING. OKC when the Feds KNEW what was going to happen, if people didn't believe the Feds knew about it, then why was 99% of the Feds employed there were meraculously NOT at work at that time when prior, 70% were there 24/7? Predictions of those who had and have the power and the people who interprit these writings are like people who study to be doctors, archeologists, even the process to make gold out of rocks. These people who spent thier careers and lifetime to study to these facts, have the know how. If one isn't mechanically inclined to work on thier own car, then they bring it to someone who does. Just like people who study about lost treasures, spend thier lifetime getting information interpriting clues, etc. It is reality.

People believe what they want, but when crap hits the fan, they blame everyone but themselves when they could have been more prepared for it and didn't do it.

I can say for sure that 2012 won't be the end of mankind. But, there have been many ends (Noah's flood was the end of the antediluvian world) (Christ was the end of the law, an end of a dispensation), and there will be more. 2012 very well MIGHT be one of those ends.

Btw, Nostradamus and Edgar Casey were false prophets.

I find it funny that this being a treasure hunting site and yet you join into a conversation that has nothing to do with treasure hunting for your first posts ? Maybe you should check back and actually read the original post and see that it was not me who posted it. I never said I believed anything was going to happen, I only pointed out that it is when there is allot of cynicism about some thing like this, it is then that people tend to suffer the most. Kinda like those who build their retirement dream homes right on a ocean side beach. They doubt that they will ever suffer from a Hurricane and yet every year thousands learn a painful lesson. Personally I don't really care what happens because I've prepared for every possible thing I can the best I can, because I'm not egotistical enough to think It can't/won't happen to me, no matter what "IT" is. If your on a crusade to tell everyone that you know for a fact, that nothing will happen. Then your every bit as delusional as anyone else claiming to know the future no matter good or bad. :tard:

So why not just take a chill pill, since you can't say for sure if something will or won't happen any better than anyone else and if your too Stu/ stubborn to prepare for your self or anyone else in case some sort of emergency arises then, oh well far be it from me to go against the wisdom of Ron White. You can't fix stu/bborn. :D ;D :o
And I find it hilarious that you seem to care so much about which threads I post in, but yet haven't made a similar comment to anyone else posting here, including yourself..... glass houses and stones........

Did I say anything at all about you starting this thread? Nope, I was commenting on your "naysayers" post. You want to believe that you're so much more enlightened and forward-thinking than most everyone else because you believe something will happen in 2012. You assume I'm egotistical and delusional because I don't agree with you? You're talking about one event that probably won't occur on one specific date. I never said I'm not prepared for an emergency, what I said is that there's no point in preparing for something on this particular date since no one can possibly know what will happen almost 4 years from today.

For someone that does nothing but make assumptions and cast aspersions, you sure are full of yourself in thinking that everyone that doesn't agree with you is delusional. But, since you seem to believe anything you read, try this on for size.....

"I predict that Goober will be the first flung from the earth and into space in the great cataclysm of 2012." There, now you can stop preparing and just live your life. You're welcome. ;D

The intelligent thing to do is to ALWAYS BE PREPARED - not just for some speculated date.

I have to disagree with CacheCrazy.

I don't believe Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce were false prophets. Mostly because I don't think they were meant to be prophets at all.

Hey, if it isn't after noon on the 24th, it isn't Christmas shopping anyway!

I predict there will be a lot more crazy cults pop up before then. and the days following cops and fed's will be finding bodies of them and try to figure out why they did it. like has happened before

This statement makes no sense at all So I won't bother answering it.
It only makes no sense to you becasue you have no idea what you've written in the past, as is readily apparent.

If you can't figure it out now, then you have no business talking about mental boxing matches and showing up unarmed.

When you create a post like this in a thread titled What is Everyones Theory on December 21, 2012? it's pretty logical to assume you are referring to this particular subject. If you'd like to talk about something entirely different, perhaps you should start your own thread..... :tard:

When you label those that don't agree with your philosophy as naysayers, delusional, cynical and stu/bborn, it's you that needs to get over your own inflated sense of self importance. I did state that I am prepared for emergencies, but that I'm not going to make a big deal out of someone guessing something will happen in December, 2012. I suppose you missed that in your rush to tell me how stu/bborn I am.......

Well, I need to intervien here, I am the ONE who started this post. I didn't start this post to get people throwing rocks at each other, YES, this IS a treasure hunting site, that ALSO has OTHER OFF topics NOT RELATED to treasure hunting. I wanted to get peoples theories AND opinions on the events that MIGHT or MAY happen. The reason I ASKED for everyone's THEORY or OPINIONS is that I FEEL there would be changes in our surroundings and environment, HOPEFULLY without ANY MAJOR drastic disasters and loss of human life that may HAVE treasures long lost to be found more easily due to the changes that MIGHT or MAY happen.

So if ANY QUESTION as to WHOM started THIS thread, I would SUGGEST READING the FIRST POST.

Happy treasure hunting!
