What kind of containers do you use??

The cheap clear plastic tubes that you can get at the coin shop aren't working for me. They are getting cracks and are breaking as they get moved around.The coin store near me doesn't have the square kind as found in monster boxes.
I have found that power bait plastic containers are stronger and hold more than 20 for the Rounds and silver dollar coins. I am looking for something to hold dimes, quarters and halfs any ideas??
What kind do you use?

I use square tubes with no problems, you can order them online if your lcs doesn't carry them

I've had no problems with the rounds, but space is an issue. If it wasn't, maybe I should get the squares.

I don't know about dimes and quarters, but for halves medium sized pill bottles will work. You can actually get them for free at Walmart Pharmacy, just ask for them with lids. Some of them are too large, and will fit Ike dollars, but some of them fit halves quite well.

I buy my coin containers/supplies from this place. I have some of the half dollar clear plastic tubes. They are excellent quality and I have not had one break yet...and I'm always handling them and moving them around...

I use the clear plastic round tubes, none of them have broken on me yet... as to long-term storage, I just throw the coins in a plastic ziplock baggie in the gun safe.(until a cheaper alternate is found)

Just make sure they are not PVC. Recycling number 3 is PVC, but pill bottles are usually #5.

I don't use any containers. My junk silver goes into Ziplock bags. Any individual coin that has Numismatic value over melt or that I just simply want to keep for the collection for whatever reason goes into a 2x2 flip.

I keep my silver coins in the plastic tubes that I get from the LCS until I have a full roll. Then I put them in the paper wrappers that I get at the bank. I have two $25 penny boxes in my safe that hold all of my rolls of silver coin.

To add to what I previously said, the only reason I keep my coins in plastic tubes is for easy and visible counting each time I want to see how much my stack is worth

i store my finds in an empty "square" half dollar box way back from 2008 before my bank switched to the long flat boxes.

I use the airtight square tubes.. I have found them many places, but I know they sell them at provident metals too.. I just normally add some to my bullion order every couple of months..

Yup, exactly what I used too! You can fit 40 halves in each one perfectly, cheap, free, and safe! I also have started putting some of my overflow into the instant coffee glass jars too, But the pill bottles work perfect! HH, Maverick.

I use paper rolls and ziploc bags. If I find anything that is going to have value over scrap prices, I sell it to the shop for scrap silver.

Hey Diggin, yes, I will bring one in with halves in it to show them, I usually have my son with me too and tell them that these are what we put our coins in. We also get a regular script filled every month ( sucks getting old, lol) for my meds so when I pick those up I ask for some extra empty bottles, they have all ways obliged me when I ask.
