As usual I think up some pretty strange postings.

Today I was thinking about what turns you off as far as postings go on here.

What NO NOs or BOO BOOs would you say turn you against any poster?

You could also tell what it is you like to see posted on here.

Go for it!

How to be loved on Treasurenet.

1. Always be nice and come off as a bit naive
2. Never try to be funny
3. Never take the posture of an authority on anything
4. Only post when you have something nice but not too great
5. Never badger (my personal favorite)
6. Never post on threads that seem to be heading the wrong way
7. And last but certainly not last ...DON'T TELL PEOPLE YOU PICK YOUR NOSE WHILE DETECTING!

What not to do.

open a can of worms.

SORRY Badger after pete's post, I had to say it ;)

Your Name fits :D

P.S. IF YOU DO, Make shure you Dispose of the Lid Properly.
I Don't want to be Digging them up 20 Years from now.

People pushing a viewpoint because of ulterior motives. Some examples may include advertising masquerading as a find, people getting high and mighty and on nahabit's case (remember, those bodies would still be there and forgotten if he didn't dig them up), people calling others liars (in so many words), people flaming others because their research doesn't match their own...all the posts that indicate that the poster has a giant burr up their butt. I am not talking about healthy discourse on a touchy subject...I am talking about when people forget what tact and consideration mean.

The good posts can be taken at face value and highlight the fun, adventure and treasure this hobby can provide.

HH!

trolling. unprovoked personal attacks. thats about it really. luckily we dont get to much of that stuff on here anyway.

when out on a hunt and having to do #2 and wether to use a ASS GASKET OR NOT in a public toilet!

Sending all the Tnet members a copy of a "genuine" treasure map you bought from some guy on a street corner? HH

I hate those posts that are just there to brown-nose the moderators. By the way way Marc, GREAT job with the server upgrade! This site rocks more than ever! Thanks! ;D

And that would matter to you why...Oh Married Man??? ;) :)

Trying to sway people to another detecting forum, when we all know this is the BEST one. How's that for brown-nosing! Also, using 28 different usernames over the course of a year or two and misrepresenting yourself as someone your not! Having a holier than thou attitude.Always replying with a negative(hint).BTW-this applies to 2 people on here in one way or another,no names mentioned. ;) have a good 'un ;D

Any poster who begins a thread with "Confederate Gold", states he found something that might be gold but can't retrieve it 'cause the sun is going down or some old folks are looking over his shoulder......

Finding civil war buckles and buttons in Wisconsin and posting them.
