1950's and 60' Chevys, I have owned several over the years and if something broke you could fix it...they were simple to work on. Today you have to have a degree in computer sciences to even think about what the problem might be, not to mention deep pockets to have it fixed.

Haha, I grew up in the 80's, television wasnt bad then. I do agree todays cartoons and shows are just weird. I'll stick with my GI-Joe, Macgyver, A-team, AirWolf...

I also grew up when television wasn't bad There wasn't ANY television

As much hassle as it is today,I would like to see prop airliners come back,that would save a lot of fuel.Also would like to see the regular passenger trains back in service.

Remember when cruising was legal and you weren't? Cut off Levis and bare feet, rolling slow windows down radio off hoping to hear a house party. Hundreds of cars meeting at Alpha Beta for Street racing on Thursday night. Drive in movies on Saturday night after washing the truck.Sharp shorts cherrys and rods were owner built in the garage after work. Caloused hands were something to be proud of and even your one pair of "good" pants had a grease stain or two.

I used to LOVE the passenger trains. I went from Connecticut to NYC (Bronx Zoo) when I was a kid, on a passenger train, by myself, and our family used to go from Pa to New Jersey by passenger train about once every 2 months.

I loved it.

I miss the small vent windows that were just back of the windshield. They were so handy that I was always using the one on the driver side. Another thing I miss is the horn ring. I always used to drive with my hand at the top of the wheel
and that rinf was right there at the heel of my hand. I don't very often use the horn, but when I do want to use it,
some times I can't find it quickly. LOL

Funny that, miniskirts don't look all that cold to me, in fact they look pretty darn hot! As for skeeters and such I, being a gentleman and all, would have no problems helping apply some (non-DEET of course) lotion to the.. affected extremities. Hi Kelly. Don't see many miniskirts way up here in B.C., especially where I hang out in the mountains. More like granola heads with greasy dreads and baggy togs (you know, the wannabe-hippy-who's-gonna-grow-up-to-be-just-like-her-mother uniform). ..Willy.

I am only 39 so I guess I am not all that old but what I miss the most is the safety for the kids to be out. I have 2 daughters, 12 and 13 years old, I still live in the same small town I grew up in becauce it is a great place to raise kids. It is so different here now then it was 25 years ago when I was thier age. You could stay out and not be worried about being safe. Everybodies parents looked out for all the kids, we couldn't get away with nuthin! Now I even have to worry about their friends parents and what might happen. Other kids their age are just as bad. We could walk uptown to the movie theatre, go to the arcade after the show and hang out 'til midnight and walk home alone and no one would even think of bothering a kid. Now there are people out there for no other reason then just to harass and cause others problems.

I guess what I would really like to see come back is the respect people used to have for other people and for their property. I really hate it that my girls can't enjoy the freedoms of being a kid like I was able to.
