it wasnt my treasure that got me hooked, cy was showing me how his
detector works, and dug a morgan dollar in a small park, in tampa around
71/72, i think i was more excited than him

I got my first machine around 2001, after trying it out in my own backyard for a couple evenings finding numerous shell casings and bullets. I took it to an old 1890's farmhouse my wife and I were remodeling. Turned on the machine went about 8 steps from the truck and found a silver plated chain mail coin purse. That hole ended up being 3 foot wide and 2 deep looking for the coins that should have been in the purse. Hooked me for life right then and there.

I was very green with my first bounty Hunter and a dog whole bunch of junk in there was a lot of clay in the ground so I was leaving. So when I was preparing to leave that was a chunk of clay on my shovel when I noticed a curly outline of something it was silver baby spoon. I was immediately hooked and I also knew there was a baby born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Lol
