When I Die...

When I die, it will be the first time that I will have nothing to worry about! I want no funeral ! I will be cremated, ashes in the box placed in the vault on the farm next to my wife's. Father Tom and Father Joe will say a few words over me. The immediate family will enjoy a party paid for by my $5K insurance and hopefully a few good words will be said about me. That's it folks! Well, I guess this could be the song fitting for me being I will be in silence the final call of my life.

Very poignant, my friend.
"I turn my collar to the cold and damp..."

Did you know that Paul and Artie had conflicts?
Here's my favorite Simon and Garfunkel tune:

I've incorporated the song into my college website:

"Don't talk of love...Well, I've heard the words before...
If I never would have loved, I never would have cried...."

Best,
Scott

PS.
Death may be a morbid subject, but I'm interested in life and death because I'm old and death keeps knocking at my door...
GO AWAY! I'm not ready! Yet! :laughing7:

All Is Well With My Soul.

I know, because in 1995, I fell on my face in our house in Mexico City, and didn't wake up for 6 days in the ABC Hospital. Many people after a near death experience are very frightened, it was one of the best experiences of my life and I would not have missed it for anything. It was a good time to have died. Knowing that I was ready to die is an indescribable high.

Still, given the choice, not today, please. Life here in Mexico is just too good.
