Seems like as good a time as any to resurrect this thread, one of the best ever on TNET in my opinion. Seahunter has a new SeaHunter vessel and we are gearing up to get the season started. Bigger, better and lots of video to be shot!

I Found this Thursday, I'm older and fatter but I can still dig 'em out!

More to come, you can follow the Seahunter Captain's Log at Shipwreck Bar and Grille | Jupiter, FL |Fun Atmosphere and Great Food! - Lots of videos up now and tons more coming!

Hi Jason
I remember chatting several years ago around 2006 I think we met through Jack H, you and your friends were testing a mag out, Robert G if I recall.
I am glad to see you posting again, I sit in the shadows here with not much to contribute. But I like your finds, very very nice!
If I make it to Jupiter this summer I will stop by the Shipwreck to shoot some b...s and have a few
Jerry

Special Forces, Special Needs, its all about the same. :-) Both of you are a blower short of a dig boat, but I like ya anyways.

Hi Jerry, i remember you, come on by Shipwreck when you're in town. I'm usually in the gift shop or chasing bar tenders around the parking lot.

We have to take a short break, but will be back diving in a week or so. The new boat blows great holes and the sand is rather shallow this year, should be some great finds soon. We have the whole boat rigged with GoPro's, even have a few masks with GoPro's mounted on them. Nothing I like more than treasure videos!!!

I remember following that hunt and this thread way back then. I was just too far away to get in on the hunt but enjoyed reading the results.High adventure for sure.

Finally posted the "Mask Cam" footage of the coin find from last Wednesday. Not great but it's neat to watch , we need to do more celebrating and show the coin to the camera. :-)

Sweet clip Jason
How do you find using the Garret without the dive rod, does the thumb not interfere with the detection of the coil?
The grip is what i refer to, but you sure cover more ground. Awesome !

Good clip, thanks for posting!

2 Questions if I may....

1) are the clips,on a Go Pro and fitted to Go Pro dive masks? It's very good quality and I have been thinking about a mask for some time.
2) with your full arsenal of AquaPulse, why go for the SH2? Just curious because I am biased to the Garrett!

Cheers and HH!

Jason, thanks for resurrecting this thread. Great story and clip along with the nice plug for the Shipwreck Bar and Grille. Having been in that business for many years, corporate and private, looks like something I would have dreamed up. The idea of combining an active recovery expedition with a restaurant/bar is genius imho. Best of luck this season.

Cash - At Jupiter I never use a handle, just too many crevices and tight places you need to get a coil into and the handle always seems to be in the way. I also feel like I cover the ground more thoroughly when I don't have a long handle on the coil.

BVI - Yep, GoPro Hero 3 on either an OctoMask or GoMax mask, I prefer the GoMax myself. You'll never hear me say anything bad about the Garrett SeaHunter MK. II, I've found a lot of coins with it. I have an older style AquaPulse (the tall can) that I use most of the time, but Scott's boat is currently decked out with Garrett, when in Rome. :-)

Thanks Dave, it seems to be working well and we are not only packing the restaurant, we are selling coins in the gift shop. Full circle marketing under one roof, you can't beat it. :-)

I believe that the "Dark Side" he was referring to was AquaPulse vs Garrett.

Scott is not the dark side. He has a legitimate permit to work the Jupiter wreck.

I meant dark side as in using a Garrett not an aqua pulse? :icon_scratch:

Lost in translation there I think.
