Very cool Creskol!

It's one of those medallions that spins between two strings. You can't show the real image because it's only visible when
spinning. It's an amalgamation of both images!

Maybe Jeckle and Hyde?

Maybe you'll make us a video?

Ill u me naughty I owe 1... they do it backwards because woman calls him the devil which is"lived" backwards. He is Life. The song PANAMA by Van Halen is about him...Pa Na Ma. in other words Pa said Na Mom! Woman is not taking it all. Just what I like to give her and that's a whole LOT! lol!
Pan A Vision!

Think I'll go with the suggested Abe Lincoln.

Here is a better closeup of the image from the back since the face of the medallion/button is so worn.

Thanks ARC! I do see similarities to the propaganda images of Abraham Lincoln that compared him to
a lower primate (honestly). This could be an indoctrination toy designed to make southern children, black and
white alike scared to death of the union forces. I've read information left in diaries to the effect that
southern children believed that the union troops would cannibalize them. (Similar tactics used in WW I
to describe the Russians.)

The alternating image would be Abe and Monster. The clan used stuff like this on children. I once bought
and sold a candy mold that came from Pennsylvania. It was a figurine, about 5 in tall, of a clansman
in robes with the words "Ku Klux Kid" on the back. I used to chuckle when I thought about having
to cast them in white chocolate, which is flavorless to me.

Agree. It's the Greek God Pan. Likeness based on 4th C BC Greek coins like this one:

Turn of the 20th C. when neo-paganism was popular with the Victorians/Edwardians.
