So, how much do you think those picks are worth?

The most valuable is the Gary Rossington pick. One just sold for $39 (with shipping). The Ricky Medlocke pick is probably around $25 or so. The rest maybe $10 each. I would never sell them, though. I'm going to have them buried with me when I die. I'll be wearing my 1987 Skynyrd concert T-shirt with the Confederate flag on the front. That should really annoy my relatives! Lol!

I went to this July 1978 Stones concert in Chicago. Journey played before the Stones.

I saw Stones front center 3rd row for $20, Rod Stewart with Faces $3.50 front section, Zeppelin for $15, ZZTop for $10.00, Aerosmith, Bad Company, Jethro Tull, Johnny Winter, Free, Deep Purple, Meatloaf, George Thorogood, Outlaws, Jefferson Airplaneb and so many more I have to stop and remember all under $10.00 for great seats.

My daughter was 13 and wanted to go to a concert so I took her and my Ex to see Rod Stewart for her first concert, paid $110 a ticket, that is the last time I paid over $20 and that was in 1995.

Saw Johnny Winter and guests one night in St Pete, for $5.50, it turned out the guests were Edgar Winter and Rick Derringer. Paid $7.50 to see the Ike and Tina Turner Review in local nightclub.

The prices are crazy, but I will state this fact. Once you watch a concert in the first few rows, you never want to go back to the cheap seats. When I was younger, I always got tickets on the lawn or at least 50 rows back. But one year, my girlfriend bought a pair of 3rd row tickets to see Skynyrd. The difference was incredible! When you're way back, you're just watching a concert, but when you're up close, you feel like you're a part of the show. You also get a chance to catch guitar picks and other memorabilia they toss to the fans. My brother actually caught a tambourine that Doug Gray (lead singer of The Marshall Tucker Band) tossed into the crowd! You can't put a price on memories like that...

Ha,ha,ha. I remember you too. There was a huge billow of smoke around you. I drove my 73 Firebird there with three friends. We had to walk over and through people to get to where we were going including some Hell's Angels. Our last friend didn't make it through them so we got separated. We found him sitting on my car afterwards. I lived about an hour away in Indiana at the time. Not sure how I ever found anything with no GPS.

You lucky dog. I never did get to a Zeppelin concert. I saw a lot of Rush concerts including their first one.

remember seeing Bengladesh (not sure of the spelling)…Rolling Stones..Beach Boys..Ringo Starr..Jay and the Americans..Animals..Carpenters..Village People.Third Eye Blind..EverClear..SmashMouth.

I was at Lynard Skynyrd concert in 77, The Street Survivor tour, festival seating, about 3 rows back from center stage, standing room. I Still have A Confederate Flag somewhere around house I got from Ronnie.

I loved festival seating, but after the 11 concert deaths in Ohio at the Who concert in '79 they stopped festival seating. Just about all my concerts I attended prior to 79 were festival seating and I always got there early.

On the Stones show we had seat assignments, tkts were marked $10.00, I paid scalper $20, we got to concert hall about noon for the 8pm show, so we're one of the very first people let in when door opens, the usher tells us as we are entering that front left section is first come first serve, basically festival seating so we ended up 3rd row left center. Billy Preston was with them on keyboards and Chaka Khan was lead backup vocalist.

The best $9.50 I ever spent was to see Tull in the mid 70s. I don't recall spending more that $10 on too many concert tickets.

I went to a Zeppelin concert in Atlanta in 1973, it was at the Atlanta Stadium, it was the kickoff of their North America tour, it also broke the record for attendance of around 50,000 people, if I remember correctly the tickets cost $5.00 if bought advance or $6.00 if bought at the gate.

You could sit in the stadium seats or anywhere you could get out on the football field, no chairs, you could sit on the ground or stand, most of the crowd was on the field, I roamed around from the front of the stage to all over the field, there were a lot of drugs being done, also a lot of beer from the concession stands!

Edit: Forgot to add that Lynyrd Skynyrd was the opening act.

I last saw AC/DC back in 2009...my son and I went and we had a blast
I want to say it was only about $100 then for tix each and even that seemed like a lot...I was attending music festivals regularly at that time and it was usually around $100 or thereabouts for a two or three day pass to see a dozen great sets over a weekend...seemed like good value for the entertainment I was getting

The last dozen years or so the prices starting going north and haven't stopped!
I still go to shows all the time...but not near as often as I'd like since it's more like a few hundo just for a night out with live music let alone going to a tour show and paying more.
I pick my battles accordingly...my vacations tend to revolve around the next band I want to see..I'd love to see them all but finances dictate I can only see a couple of shows a year lately.

I going to see Offspring on their tour in February but I'm more excited to see Bad Religion who are supporting them in this tour...again only a few hundred for me , my lady and my son to go out and see some great music
We wont be going to T.O to see ACDC this time round, not at those prices!
I routinely go to Toronto in the summer and see shows at the Budweiser Stage...great venue and they get some great acts there all the time and you can afford it!
If I only had all the dough I spent on tickets and tshirts over years whooo!
