1814 Capped Bust Dime found today PLUS.......

The Metal Detecting Gods smiled on me today, and I was talkin' to myself out in the woods, and smilen' all day. I didn't care if I found anything else the rest of the day, because the rest was gravy

Decided to hit the old Boy Scout camp as it was real good to me last week. Before it became a BS camp there there must have been something else going on there because today "was a metal detecting first" in my 15 years of detecting.

Only a half hour after I started digging, I get this deep solid penny dime signal. I figured its a barber or a merc......holy moley at 6 inches........here she is a friggin' BUST Dime. OMG, I'm already dancin An hour later 3 Liberty Head V-Nickels in one hole.

I'm on a hot streak last 2 outings....... but here is what I dug today...........

1. 1814 Capped Bust Dime (LARGE DATE)
2. 1895, 1895, 1902 Liberty Head V-Nickels
3. 1916 Buffalo Nickel
4. 1918, 1944 Wheat Cents
5. One-Piece flat button (best colour) backmark

HEY RICH, CONGRATUALTIONS ON YOUR 1814 CAPPED BUST DIME! IT DOESN'T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THAT! I KNOW EXACTLY (AND I MEAN EXACTLY) HOW YOU FELT WHEN YOU FOUND IT. I FOUND MY ONLY CAPPED BUST DIME BACK ON JANUARY 2, 2006 (POSTED ON TREASURENET) AND IT TOO WAS AN 1814. BUT MINE HAS A HOLE IN IT. WTG AND ENJOY IT!

Not only are those great finds, but to find nickels in that condition is amazing. All of my 19th century nickels are rust colored!!!
