🥇 BANNER 1849 Gold $1 coin!

[huntnva]

Stopped by my spot today for quick hunt, glad I did! I've found several bullets and buttons at this site, this area was occupied by Union troops. My first target was a big 3 ringer, larger than all the others I've found(previously dug bullet for size comparison). About 10' away I dug a couple of head stamps when I got a solid 51 on my At Pro. I've quickly learned to dig everything....about 8" down, out popped this beauty! First gold I've ever found. I left everything laying and walked straight to the car to douse it with water, that's all I've done to it... scared to touch it...lol. Took a bit to catch my breath, what a rush. I'm definitely going to keep hitting it hard as I hope there's much more to be found.
Happy Hunting!

[Fletch88]

Awesome banner find! I wish I could just swing by "my spot" and whip out the old ATPro and dig a gold coin! I don't think I would ever go back because if you hunt for 40 more years you're not going to top that find!

Awesome score. Gold coins are the holy grail to many of us coin shooters. My banner voye is going in. Congrats on digging that beauty. I bet you are still shaking and you have a permanent smile on your face.

Banner vote is in, I was thinking about one of these yesterday when I was stumbling in the cornfield.

Congrats! That's huge! That just shows that gold coins are out there and those of us who haven't been fortunate enough to find one still have a chance!
