Hi all,

It was going to be rather warm and sunny today, so I left early this morning for a quick 2-hour hunt..I ended up going to the school where I found a silver quarter and a 14K ring back in March..there were a few things I missed, including a ring of keys and a 925 silver pendant.

As far as coins, I dug 12 pennies, 1 dime, 4 nickels and 17 quarters..I came across a several pocket spills, including one that contained 3 quarters and another that had 4 in the same hole.

Eventually it started to get hot, so I decided to quit for a while. Before I left I told myself "One more quarter" but I found it fairly quickly, so I challenged myself to find one more. I was glad I did..toward the end of the field I got a strong quarter signal and dug a Sac dollar (I always enjoy finding those, they're such a nice change of pace from regular clad).

After going over the hole again I had another signal and out came a quarter.

As I was about to cover the hole I got another signal, thinking it was possibly another quarter, but it turned out to be a Susan B. dollar.

Just as I thought that was it, I got a 50-cent signal just to the left of the hole, which turned out to be a Kennedy half, my 4th one so far this year. I scanned the area within about a 6-foot radius of "the big spill" but that was all the ground was going to give up..it was the first time I've ever dug 4 coins in the same place that totalled more than a dollar so I thought I'd share my joy with all of you :D

I ended up with $7.17 and some silver, not too bad for a quick morning hunt.

Very nice pocket spill Nat! I love finding those Sac dollars too.
I found something today that you would appreciate. My wife and I stopped at the Dollar Store to buy some high quality merchandise. I always look at the Hotwheels wherever I go. Guess what? I finally found a "Treasure Hunt". I haven't found one of those in years. ;D

That pocket spill would get my blood pumping. Nice score Nat.

Way to go Nattie! You da man! :tongue3: I barely found two dollars today......I drove fifty miles! >:(

Keep up the great work.........Take care.

I love the silver bulldog.

Awesome job as always Natman

I think you'll be making cool finds for years to come.

Those spots you think you killed just keep on replenishing themselves and the stuff you missed will keep on showing up. The great thing about you Natman is that you are not like some people on here that just find silver dimes or something, you find a little bit of EVERYTHING.
Silver coins, jewelry, toys, trinkets, man just the clad you dig up :tongue3: puts me to shame :icon_scratch:

Keep on swingin'

Harry.......

Thanks Moon..the same thing is happening to me, so you're not alone..I haven't visited any different schools in the last month or so..I've checked about every one multiple times within about 15 square miles of my house..driving farther is a gamble because I may actually be spending more on gas than what I find..the thrill of the hunt may end up making me la vida broka :-\ if I don't conquer my addiction! You know what I'm talking about :D Whichever way it goes, the last 18 months have been a lot of fun.

Thanks Harry, I appreciate that very much. I've really been lucky..I've found a bunch of areas that have never seen a coil, and have been able to find obsolete coins by checking the older yards wherever I can (I ask almost everyone I know if they know people who live in an old house and would consider letting me check their yards!) If I really want to search a place, I'll do everything I can to find a way to do it..every new opportunity is a new adventure for me.

Congrats on a good hunt Nat
That's a lot of loot.

Way to go Nat! All my pocket spills have been quarters, dimes & nickels...stupendous finds!

Nice job on the silver dog pendent! That dog looks like it will eat someone! :o Half dollars are always hard to find. Found my first Kennedy half 2-3 weeks ago.

Nat, that silver dog pendant is really cool!

Congrats on your killer pocket spills hunt! It kinda makes you wonder how so many large coins could be dropped by someone all at once without them knowing it. :icon_scratch:
