hello all i went. To mu Great grandmother's house it was built in 1910. When I got there the i started to find some wheats (not pictured) and a silver plated spoon (also not pictured) then i got this weird signal i thought it was going to be a pull tab when i dug it. A first i thought it was a watch fob when i wiped some the dirt off.I saw the Confederate flag and the word Confederacy my started to pound when i got back i cleaned it off some more on the back it said: The Southern Cross of Honor. DEO VINDICE. Which meant: With God As Our Vindicator. 1861-1865. It was given to the veterans of the Confederacy. On the front it says: United Daughters Confederacy To The U.C.V. They were given out i think from 1880's-1900's. I'm really happy finding this thanks for looking Happy Hunting :hello: P1100376.JPG P1100377.JPG P1100379.JPG P1100380.JPG P1100381.JPG

Okay, that's just flat out amazing. I've never seen one of these posted before in the year or so I've been a member of this site. I'm voting banner on this one!

Most excellent save. A lot of history that traveled many a mile. If only it could tell you the journey. Nice recovery Goldboy.
