I found this at my 1831 farm site. After working this property pretty hard over the last two years I was amazed to pull this little beauty. The cherry picking is finished, in TTF with the E-trac moving very slow, I was able to sort this out of the heavily iron infested signals. It was actually about 15 feet away from the 1/2 Reale I found two days earlier and I know I have passed over/missed them both several times. Many times I have left the farm discouraged with nothing, thinking it's hunted out, then on consecutive trips I find the Reale and this little beauty. When door knocking fails, I always have plan B and now I'm convinced it's not hunted out, just very slim pickins.
Thanks for looking, Bill

That is an absolute beauty. Wow! Green and uncirculated. Nice save.

Very cool! Nice find and congrats! I'm voting banner, even though its not gold or silver I just love this coin design and the condition is amazing!

Wow! Thank you, I, like everyone have Banner aspirations but didn't think an Indian would be worthy unless of course the 1877. Regardless it is the most amazing Indian I have found in four years and to be a semi-key at that!
Thank You HWJj

That IH is in amazing condition. Has a nice patina too. Well done.

Must have been dropped shortly after coming from the mint...into kind soil....very nice looking coin !

Wow that's a beautiful IH and key date to awesome...

Wow! Amazing condition. That's the coin that they want to use for pictures in coin collecting magazines! I live in Cincinnati not too far down the highway from you. You have some very forgiving soil on that farm!

Nice Coin and date...Slowing down is the Key....BillT.

Now THAT! Is the kind of indian head cents I remember finding a long time ago! I used to show some of the ones I found but people just didn't believe that they could come out of the ground that good looking!

WTG!

My best ih is a 66 as well but that thing is RIDICULOUS! Congrats! And your Banner will come my friend!

That is in AMAZING condition! Pretty green patina but none of the normal pitting. From what I have seen, Ohio soil is pretty kind to copper coins, even in the cultivated fields.

Congrats on an awesome find. That thing went straight from the mint and into the ground!

It difficult to get IH's that the ground hasn't "kissed". You've got a specimen there that looks like it just came out of a coin-store ! The tone/color is actually probably desirable to collectors. Great job. Great pix ! Thanx for sharing.

That is a NICE looking coin for being dug Bill....never see such a thing.

GOD Bless

Chris

You RARELY see an IH come out of the ground without rim/edge damage corrosion. That is INSANE! *bows down

Wow! That's a beautiful find.... Good for you!

Awesome IH penny. It even has a nice shine to it.
