Got my first Silver coin. A ugly 1938-D Merc, but you know what...It's dang pretty to me ;D

Both nickels are 64's and I also got a very ugly 40ish wheat cent. A few of my lincolns are from the 59-64 range, so I bet there is more silver in that park. Lots of trash, but I am digging deeper and clearer signals with the new DD1400.

3 Hour Hunt =

1 Merc
1 Wheat
4 Quarters
8 Dimes
2 Nickels
22 Pennies

As they say, "Silver is Silver", Congrats on your first!!!
Hope it don't take ya another 600 coins to get the next one...
Good luck, & Happy hunting~

That's what I was thinking ;D

However, I dont mind the 600 coins as much as the 1000 pull tabs ::) ;D

Congrats!!!!!!!!! I'd take that one anyday. I have only found 2 silvers and they were both washington quarters in the same dang hole!..
Anyway, keep em coming!

Congrats on your first silver! HH, Mike

Hey Storm, nice find, it almost looks like some one chewed the edges on that coin, that is a great first on though. It will always be easy to recognize as your first from the character is has. Now if you want to nail a piece of gold go ahead and dig up your first 1000 pull tabs and you will finally get one stamped 14k, I live near a place with easy digging soil, so I dig just about every thing above foil, lots of digging but it pays off in the end.
super nice find Storm, and wtg

Congrats,

She is still a very pretty lady. Keep up the great work. I can't wait until I find my first Mercury.

yeah trooper, i remember my first silver....it was a 1945 merc on our local dike using a cheap radio shack detector. i was instantly hooked and two days later ordered a garrett master hunter 7. that was back in 1989. congratulations and may there be many more.

That's one ugly mercury dime but it has Caricature. Great going. It took me over a year to find my first silver coin with my gold machine. Once I found out where to look, they've been comming fairly consistently ever sense. May many more silver coins end up under your coil.

My favorite coin of all. Congrats.

You know that's actually the bust of Lady Liberty with a phrygian cap (freed slave "liberty" cap of ancient Greece) and the wings represent freedom of thought? Nothing to do with the Roman god Mercury at all.

I know, too much information.

Boy, it sure is a prettier couin than Roosevelt's mug. We ought to go back to Liberties.

Hats off and many more!

Congrats. Tape that Merc to your detector for good luck.
