I detected with Andy (DD-777) today at an early 1800's property I've detected in the past. This time though we hit an open pasture area that I've never hit. After digging a few rusty iron farm pieces I got a good signal within 20 minutes of being there. I cut a plug and to my amazement there was a LARGE SILVER in there!
I was hoping like heck it was an 1800's silver, but it was not to be. It turned out to be a 1918 Walker half. Still a great find.
My second Walker half in two months now. Enjoy the video. Sorry for the scary face at the beginning.

I then dug what looks to be an old pewter (?) button in the pasture too. The shank is missing and it looks like someone shot the front of it.
We then moved to another spot that I just got permission to just up the road a piece. This was an area that had two old tenant houses back in the 1800's. The only thing left was the stone fireplaces and a cellar hole.
My very first signal when we got there turned out to be a 1897 IH.
Andy was getting ready to club me with his shovel by this point.
We poked around some more and came up with the relics you see here. I think we just scrathed the surface at both of these places and I'm looking forward to going back.
Thanks for looking,
MM
