You have my heartfelt sympathies. :)

Hey goldkey.... About where you located in Middle TN.? I'm in the Centerville / Columbia area. We had 6 degrees here this morning and now at 11:30 am its up to 32.

I'm just north of Nashville........It was 2 degrees here this morning. 39 tomorrow is going to be a heat wave.
I know of some good places down your way to hunt relics.......haven't made it down there in a while.

More snow on Lake Hurons north shores...roads are slowly being closed one after another. Thermometer shows 5/F..but w/40-50 mph winds radio says -15/F windchill. Guess it'll be like the winters of old...the 'Let's go Ice-fishin kind'!! ;)

It's been killing me. I use days I can't detect for research days, but it only makes me want to detect more. Last time it snowed here, I was patiently waiting for a little of the snow to melt. Once that happened, I went to a spot I've been going to for guaranteed interesting finds. So I parked my car some distance from the spot since there is no parking there, and I trekked over to it and started swinging away. In less than a minute I had a good signal, so I pull out my Lesche digger and attempt to jam it into the ground. It went in about a quarter of an inch... ground was totally frozen. I think "ok, i got this.", and I walk alllll the way back to my car to grab my piranha digger (a mean looking shovel made to rip the ground up like nobody's business). I jammed the point in, and then jumped on the foot pads, and nothing. Didn't even get the shovel an inch in. I walked back to my car sad and defeated. I really can't wait for the warm weather. :BangHead:
