AT haters.

I am sure you can get them if you require them, Casca!

Monogramming might be free but pretty pink thread will be extra for you too, wink wink.

I am still very new to the hobby, so I haven't had the pleasure of using any of the detectors you mentioned. How deep can I submerge them?

After I find a target I let go of it and use my pin pointer and let the at float behind my tied on by a lanyard so the current does not take it.My F-75 has to stay home on these trips. Fun machine.

Do you use the vibraprobe ( if my memory isn't failing me, that is the name? ) or have you waterproofed another brand of PP?
It's getting cold here, so I will have to wait a few months to water hunt. When I bought the ATP, Kellyco sent me one of their pointers, so I may replace the rotary switch on it and make a water pointer from it. Thanks for an objective view that actually matters, lol.

I hear the kellyco pointer is a joke.you have to practically touch the object to get a signal.

Maybe someone will start another thread about this so people who have never actually used a machine can voice their unfounded opinions.

Which one did they send you. If its the one they sent me they should be ashamed of themselves.

It is the one they charge $70 for ( I think ). I have not used it yet. I just put a battery in to make sure it worked, and it did. I put it away to serve as a backup in case my Bullseye 2 breaks.

My house doesnt have tires or built on stilts so sounds like fun every time it rains. Maybe you guys can find Atlantis while you in the water. I got rock and sand, no need for me to be waterproof here. I wonder how many atp guys accidentally hang themselves with that lanyard lol.

I only use top of the line equipment.

I have found Garret makes the best pinpointer period. You can hunt with the others, but I am confident in the propointer every time I pull it out. My F75 is also top of its line, folks complain the price but it doesnt have a meter on it. Yes you want to swim around in water filled with all sorts of nastys to dig up rotted rusted pieces of iron, good for you. I believe scrap iron goes for $2.00 dollars a ton. Ok, that was wrong, heck ya I would do this.

All kidding aside, water hunts would be fun. I know what I dig is my treasure, hey I found a bottle cap tonight and was happy about it. I hope no one has taken any post on the thread serious as it all fun and games. If I had a atp you would get pictures of me and it in the shower just because I could. But Im still gonna call you on the hype. I hunt every day almost and know exactly what detectors can and cant do. Well except for the bathtub and swimming pool action. lol. I hear they making pink atp's now lol. A few threads up.

Let me explain my excitement about a bottle cap tonight. I just got the F75 back from Fisher Labs, they made it all brand new again. I took it outside to turn it on for the first time and gb it for a test. But Beep, at 2 feet above the ground before I even put the coil down it hit on a bottlecap in the dark. I couldn't see it, but I reached down and pulled the bottle cap up out of the grass. So I fess up, I found a bottle cap lol.

:icon_thumright:Congrats on the reconditioned detector, Casca! Did you request they make it like new again or did you upgrade and tell them send it to Garrett and make it as good as an ATP? I think you ought to read your manual again. Drinking beer and flicking the caps into your yard is not what they meant when they said you should create a "test garden". All in good fun. Good luck and show us some of those desert finds, will you?:icon_thumleft:

Make fun if it makes you smile but there wasn't a nut or bolt left undone. They were nice enough to supply some dust covers and a lil helpful advice so I dont have to send it in again. I am digging things at 10" inches again. I plan a hunt every day this week. I do have a few pictures for you. Unfortunately the hunt was cut short, a couple of buses of school kids showed up. I have re read the manual before you advised it, my 12th time this year. I could have bought a new detector, but I really love this F75.

I hear the atp manual supplys the beer for your test gardens so I understand you being upset you missed the party. Fisher owners like their drinks shaken not stirred.
1sthunt.webpriogrande.webpI knew it was time to go when a kid kicked my machine and tried to take off with my finds.

No video today, wind was blowing too hard. Tomorrow I am hunting with a guy who runs a T2. Do you really want us to show those pictures? Im not going to compare the F75 with a atp. Fishers have been tested against minlabs and beat them. Im saying you dont need a waterproof detector on most hunts. That seems to be some sort of badge of honor with atp guys. It makes most of us laugh, your little rubber ducky, lol.

What the atp guys have missed by buying a atp is the real question.f75.webpThis is the reworked F75.......buy American.

I only have one question.: If Fisher is making metal detectors now, what is Price making?

All kidding aside, I am glad you got your old friend back, Casca. I think being familiar and confident with a detector is as much important as the technology. And yes, show the pics!

Yep, had it out a few times. Tomorrow should produce a good hunt. Everyone was out at the parks today.
