Blimey we have been kept indoors since the new year by lashings of rain every weekend 🥹 the wettest January ever!

But today a break in the clouds so we literally dashed out the door.. and what a lovely time we (I) had 😆

First off a big A (it’s 4cm high) no idea on that one! Then a broken dress hook, selection of buckles, watch winder, 2 muskets, pieced Sesrtious (Roman Coin) we think, a modern something, buttons, 2 crusty Romans and .. my 2 pierced hammereds 😍 xx

Cool finds. I have a feeling of dejavu as I scroll down for some reason.
My mates in the UK are complaining about all the rain and snow too. One mate there from Scotland was saying something about only getting 100 and something days of sunshine a year. That'd drive me mad! ....er.

Great finds as usual! Glad you were able to get out. Similar problem here in Pennsylvania, snow on the ground and too cold for any melting to take place.

Hammered's!
Congrats!
The field picture can be heard going welly welly squish squish.
Clamshell button looking unusual. Well aren't most those recoveries ...

Bout time you two got to diggin again. :toothy2:

Yeah , no. The mystery item isn't an eye bracket. I checked though..

Such great finds. Such great photos. Congrats on both counts. I'm sorry to hear about all of your rain. Here in Massachusetts its been nothing but freezing cold temps, and snow...a lot of snow. We have about 20 inches on the ground and it doesn't look like it will be melting any time soon. Spring can't come soon enough.

The big "A" looks like one of two pieces that would have been used as legs on a small "bench" or stand or something that sat in the cradle at the top. Either that or a rather large zipper pull.

Who knew there was a tool for that? I always used my hands for that! :laughing7: :tongue3:

The A item is something familiar 🤔
Congratulations on the 2 hammered silver.
Very nice selection of finds and you're probably the first Lass to have a skirt lifter posted up.

I looked at Chinese temples. Similar to some ; but not any for sures.

There's a bad joke in there somewhere, but I'm going to resis
Himself found it… so he now holds the very dubious honour of being referred to as “he who found a Skirt Lifter” 😂 xx

@CRUSADER soz to bother .. but do you recognise the first item… its about 4 cm high.. 🤔 …! xx
