Went fishing at my local reservoir today to see if I could catch some walleye.
I brought home 3 keepers Sunday and was hoping they were still at that
same spot and still biting. My fishing hunting buddy shows up not long after
I got set up. I knew he was expecting a new metal detector he ordered on
line and asked if he got it yet. He said yup and he would show it to me as soon
as he got his poles in the water.

After a while we started talking about other things and kind of forgot the metal
detector. Then I remembered and took a few steps towards his pickup to have
a look at it and this caught my eye.

It was almost all covered up except the outer ring.
I pulled it up slowly and the chain snaked it's way out of the layered
dead grass. I hollered to my buddy, "I don't need no stinkin detector'

People wonder why I walk around with my eyes to the ground. Duh!
I searched and can't find anything similar on the net, I am sure it is there, just
too much jewelry to search through. Any ideas on it's worth?

Thanks Kolo!
If you look at the picture close, the large link at the left above the circle says
AURAFIN
and the large link at the right above the circle says 14 Kt
The necklace chain is 17 inches.
It is a tiny danty little pendant but it is heavy for it's size and sure looks well made.
I don't have a scale to weigh it, sorry.
The heart with 14 stones and the inside ring with 9 stones both free float inside
the outside large ring, which has 15 stones in it, none are missing.

Good eye! Very nice find! I think it's funny that you found it just before seeing your new detector! Sounds like that one is gonna do a great job for ya! :icon_scratch: I can't tell ya what it's worth, but if it is 14k it's "worth it's weight in gold" at least!!! So it is an awesome find! I love to find necklaces and pendants! One of the most fun things to find! Looks like a really nice piece to me! :o

I've sold a few pieces of Aurafin gold jewelry before and I'd say the stones are real!! Congrats on a great eyeball find!!

Great Eyeball find!

It's like I've always said, we detectorists just have the well calibrated eyeballs.

A few months back I was trying to locate a lost pair of rings, unsuccessfully. The rings were lost in the surf a year earlier but it was fun to try.

Before leaving I decided to detect the dry sand for a few minutes and saw this golden glint reflect to my eyes. This was the bracelet I found, it has 14 groups of five diamonds for 70 total and a 14K marking. I listed it on Craigslist as a found item but no takers so it seems I will have to keep it.

I googled Aurafin gold and got those search results I thought you'd be able to get more info from that. ???

Okay, the first thing I did when I got back from the lake after examining
the necklace and seeing the name was to google Aurafin. I spent a
couple hours on their site and others but couldn't find a match.
Thanks for tring to help :)

Yeah i crawl on the ground looking for stuff.

I do have my head down allot. Found a little money keeper no bigger than my thumb. It had two quarters and a nickel and a few Penny's.
