found this item and 2 other iron pieces encrusted in about 2-3 inches of coral. I'd like to know what it came from as there are no documented wrecks near where i found these items. thanks

Don't know the size, as no dimensions are given, but it looks like a log dog to me.

I was about to respond on your other thread on this.

After seeing the picture with 5 dollar bill...
It could be grapnel hook head... a cable tie down...
A through hook... on and on.
Too far gone for a real identity without actually knowing what it is from past knowledge....
