Solved: Buffalo (American Bison) skull concho

Dug this intriguing thing up today.

Am wondering what it was part of? Any information would be nice
TIA
CARM

[garren]

It almost looks like a bolo slide....but I dont know why it would have the slots in the side.

[CoinandRelicMan]

Neat Garren yeah the center part resembles the bolo slides string holders. The side slots are weird tho and are really puzzling me. Thanks for the reply

[Back-of-the-boat]

It could be that the slots had a thin piece of leather with beads and feathers hanging down just like what it looks like on the bolo Garren showed in the pic.

Cow skull concho

horse tack concho -- goes on a saddle as a decorative piece.

Nice find CoinandRelicMan.

[woodstock]

It doesn't fit or look like horse tack . but it looks by the side slots that it could be .b But it's a Bolo as well . Never seen a combo like this but I haven't seen them all .
