Cobra Beach Magnet, junk or can it be tweaked?

I recently bought a Cobra Beach Magnet and I was aware of how shallow the depth was, but I read that it can be tweaked by adjusting the pots, supposedly it has a fisher 1280X Circuit Board. has anyone opened one up and adjusted these pots?

I had one that was given to me....it wasn't bad at all and I found some good pieces of eight from the 1733 fleet with it. Picked up on gold pretty well also. Wasnt the best machine I owned but proved to be dependable and rugged.

Pretty much junk in my opinion, I personally wouldn't recommend it at all. I owned one years ago, got rid of it, when they had problems Kellyco would just replace them if under warranty, they were not worth repairing.
