Hello, Gents, I got out today for a short hunt at a new field that had harvested corn. I found an 1862 IH which I gave to my son when I got home. The find of the day was the King George III copper. I will head back to this site next Fall since it should be in soy bean and I will be able to cover more ground with my coil. The corn stalks were difficult to swing in, but I was happy to find a Colonial copper. I am looking forward to getting some more hunts in during the 2015 season. My brother who lives in Reading has his research a brewing again. We will bucket again soon.
Got home and had a fine shave with a Super Iridium blade. Life sure is good. :hello:

Keep the passion high!

Kirk

Kirk you have been threatening to get out for weeks now. I'm glad you finally did and you found something decent. But I think it's gonna take more that a lonely KG III to get your brother motivated :laughing7:

Nice colonial copper, I always love seeing a green disk in the dirt. I just got permission to metal detect at their early 1700's farm fields, this company owns 20+ farm fields and people have found colonial coppers on the surface. I tried a field for 10 minutes and pulled out a tombac button, so that place has potential.

Coinman123,
