Does this show signs of being worked?

Found in Illinois. It is a crude piece of chert. There is a small section that looks like it was worked on the edge. Possible utilized flake perhaps?

Im no pro, but sure looks like it was worked on a little in the first 2 pictures right by your thumb. Possibly a wood working tool?

yes it has been worked and by what i mean by the term 'expedient' is this:

in this particular case my opinion expedient means that an immediate need for a tool of some sort would maybe dictate the quick
making of something at the time out of whatever available to do a small task then discarded
these things can sometimes be overlooked as they are not as 'pretty'

one thing for sure .....if i found that i would go back to that area and spend a few hours looking around
it may show you some potential
