Factory setting is 6. What will be gained or lost setting to 5 or 7 with the gain set to the 3o'clock position?

Best to try it for yourself with a small gold ring. In my experience I like the pulse delay at about 9 o'clock (anything less gives me a bad humming sound). The gain I never use beyond about 11 or 12 o'clock. Higher gain is too noisy and unnecessary.

The DF is my favorite detector and finds me the most gold in wet sand.
