going to beach 10/21 help with gtp1350 settings

am hitting the beach today, but I have been having problems with my settings for wet sand ( highly mineralized) and the low water... any suggestions for me for the nj coast would be appreciated big time.so I am not wasting my time trying... I just dont seem to have the wet end figured out yet...

If your Garrett has a saltwater mode, turn it on. You can also turn down your sensitivity way down in the wet sand. You should still make sure your detector will pick up a pull tab or carry a small thin 14 Kt. white gold ring on a string for testing your detector on the wet sand. Since the mineralization and salt content will vary, you may need to make small adjustments as you go.

try to stay in either the wet or dry sand without moving from one to the other. When you have more time for reading, visit this site thegoldenolde.com/

Thank you big time... I did go to that site, I saw that you had posted it elsewheres on tnet and boy its packed full of info... thank you as the last time I did the beach, I was changing the threshold as well...so least I know not to touch that one then... again thanks..Rae
