Found at an estate sale on Pennsylvania.

A book of sermons.
The book appears to have belonged to a Hosea Tiffany which I searched and looks like he may have been one of 9 who settled in Hartford, PA and perhaps a minuteman.

Curious if the book and owner have value. The book looks to be from 1798.

From Wikipedia:
Peter Oxenbridge Thacher (1752–1802) was a Congregationalist minister in Massachusetts in the 18th century.[1] He served as pastor in Malden of the First Church (1770–1784)[2] and in Boston of the Brattle Street Church (1785–1802). He actively supported the American Revolution.[3][4] He participated in the drafting of the Massachusetts Constitution in 1780. In 1794, he was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.[5] He belonged to the Massachusetts Historical Society and Massachusetts Humane Society. He was educated at Harvard College, 1765–1769. On October 8, 1770, he married Elizabeth Poole (Hawkes); they had ten children.[6][7]

A major percentage of any books value is condition. When it comes to condition, age is somewhat irrelevant. A book that is in good condition, scarce, and desirable, is always desired by a collector.

If you do list it for sale, I would certainly emphasize the authors role
in the Rev. war.

In one image I do see what appears to be water damage; does the
book have a musty aroma?

Cool find. I’m sure it has a historical interest value beyond the value of the book. It could have belonged to Captain Hosea Tiffany who was indeed one of the original nine partners, and a Minuteman. It might alternatively have belonged to his son Hosea Tiffany Jr. (1782-1835).
