Holy crap it is cold outside... And I am in Florida... sheesh. How cold are you ?

lol ... jeff you wont see a lot of people wearing "heavy" jackets on Duval street you know why ?

...............................
............................................
..................................................

Because the only people that will be out on Duval street will be tourists... heh... from your neck of the woods...
They will be in flip flops and sweatshirts...

The "locals" aka "the conch's" will be inside where it is warm... hiding... heh

I've got 4.6 now. Forecast -10 tonight A Might Brisk
I have never experienced minus temps, except in a walk in freezer (+/- O). To have it that cold for days at a time.....Hell no!!
I can't imagine. 69.5 here right now.

...
Swim with the manatees man.
That 72 degree spring water is a lot warmer than the 30 degrees now and falling to 21 in Ocala tomorrow morning.
For those who have never experienced a central Florida freeze, it is a damp cold that really goes through you, and can turn your head around when the wind blows.

I wanted to get in on this thread last week already, and believe me I tried ... but apparently the inbound photons on my high speed fiber optic were frozen in their tracks and the electrons I was sending out - albeit tending to be a tad more thermally resistive and therefore heat generating - gelled. So when this gets thru to you all, send therms !!

as it's been going here this year,
tomorrows prediction of 1" to 3" of snow Saturday
will translate to 3" to 5" up here & Sinday 1" of that will melt before the next deep freeze Monday puts another Glaze of Ice on top :(

I was beginning to think you froze over man.

South of Fayetteville, currently 12F with a windchill of -14 degrees... not that bad if your heater works, ours went out last night -.-

Great luck I've been having here lately, just waiting for a meteor to hit me too.

It is -15 this morning and I am just glad the wind is not blowing. The good news is it is going to get up to about +15 today...so its a heat wave.

I would imagine winters like this spawn floods...
Come spring...
is this true ?

Well, we had 6 this morning better than a negative number, the sun is out...so is the wind so the feels like temp is -16. :BangHead:

Snow, ice, freezing rain, then rain for Sunday. The temp will be 40... I'll believe that when I FEEL it! I may break a sweat! :laughing7: I was out in a tee shirt last Wed when it was 30.

And right on schedule storm for Sunday, and snow for Wed. We've been in this storm/snow pattern for close to 2 months, pretty much all of this winter! :sadsmiley:

I guess the rain Sunday will give the snow pack a nice ice glaze so any snow falling after that won't melt. I don't even want to think about the ice that's going to be every where when the rain freezes Sunday night. :BangHead:

Winter go away!

yea we can almost be sure of heavy 2" - 3" inch Rains on top of the 2' - 3' of snow
blocking Gutters & Ice blocking Rivers & creeks.
it's like clockwork every year :(

Yay -15 and I'm headed to a wharf on the ocean to work where the wind always howls. Should be a balmy -30 or so. Yup I looooove Maine lol. If it wasn't for these 1600 and 1700s sites if be gone tomorrow

well, didn't take long for the 1 to 3" they predicted for today to rise to

2 to 4" today & 4 to 8" Tonight :(

which means no matter what 35 degrees Sunday Melts it still means we go into next week with More snow then we have now.

and actually the snow pack here will probably prevent any melt

Then of course another week with
Sub-0 double digit wind Chill Temps.
straight through the end of February :(
