update: thanks for all the comments for these finds, ive been looking at them all day, this site was settled as early as 1712 so it could have been buried then or a later time, but i will not scrap, separate, or sell, in case anybody was wandering......Just went to a new field where a early 1900s house was and pulled a silver half and Rosie. Then I get a deep faint target and over a foot deep I get this silver plated case. And 4 gold rings inside! They tested at least 10k except one is 18k. Holy crap, I'm still out here in the field going at it, but had to post this. 1 has a date of 1730 and another has a date of 1732. Could they be this old? Will get more pics when I get home

Some more pics real quick, looks like the tin they were in is silver! 1 ring says nothing, 1 says g p g 22 Jan 1732 on inside, 1 says hearts united live contented on inside, and last one says George king obe 4 oct 1730

There's a marking on the tin they were in, see pic

Pirate plunder! :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:

Ok, so, I am really new to all of this, please bear with me. I am curious as to what you would do with a find like this? Do you sell it, loan it to a museum, keep it stashed away or brag about it? This makes me really excited to get started.

Congrats man! That is really cool!

Wow I'm busy all day and all this happened. Congrats on an astonishing find and banner

I've been waiting for the experts to chime in about the rings and I'm so happy to hear the consensus. Congrats on an amazing find. Colonial gold is incredible, but something personalized like those rings is once in a lifetime. Unbelievable!

Crabstang44, you're lucky and blessed for sure. Goo buy a couple lottery tickets today! Excellent find and a BIG Congrats!

Ok, yeah.... I'm jealous! LOL Bahhahaha!

A posey ring is the #1 item that I want to find and you done did it. This is beyond incredible and I'm super happy for you.

now I am wondering who hid them and why?

and what prevented their retrieval

totally INCREDIBLE!
WoW!
What will you find next, to top that...??!
Banner Finds, for SURE! :icon_thumright:

Thank you for posting those rings...Congrats on a banner find x5.
Hope to hear from those that can contribute to the history of those rings.
That gold and black enamel ring is out of this world cool

You have got to be :censored: kidding. Holy crap, Banner for sure. :notworthy: Hope you don't plan on sleeping tonight. You had an amazing day, enjoy the feeling as long as you can, it's what drives most of us to detect and dig. Congrats on joining the Banner club, well deserved.

THANK YOU for sharing, and taking us back to a look at the early 1700s, what a story you have here. The pictures of the goldsmithing and engraving are impressive. All I can say is WOW, what a look back in time, with our "time machines"! Our metal detecting time machines take us back to the past. CONGRATS and thanks again for sharing. We all look forward to more details and research!

actually if I found that, I would drop the detector and live in the glory (you'll never beat that)

Like a previous poster, this might be the best find I've seen on Treasurenet. Congrats. Like so many all I can say is WOW!

Holy Something! Unbelievable!! Congrats on one of the greatest finds ever!
