Hope you get the house not just for the detecting bit....but cause you really like it.
The detecting was an afterthought, still within distance of 40 1700-1850 homestead sites which I plotted on Google Earth. Went to 5 of them, found 3 cellar holes exactly where I marked them on my map. Stupid snow still hasn't melted. The house is great, warm and cozy on the inside. Very positive inside, and maintains all of it's original charm, yet doesn't have the drawbacks of old many old houses. The owners took incredible care of it. I hope they accept our offer! I will post let you know on Thursday when they pick the offer.
