About 10 years ago I was watching one of the "When Animals Attack" shows. The expert on there said on the the best things you could do during a Mountain Lion attack was to piss yourself. Somthing about the amonia and their sense of smell. I had to scratch my head and laugh... if I am ever attack by a Mountain Lion I dont think I will have to REMEMBER to piss myself lol.

Never seen one is SoCal either, but I've seen tracks big enough for a 60+ lb. cat, and I don't think bobcats get that big.

Not from there, but I have done some prospecting out that way. Mostly in the Northern sections of the state. Came real close to a couple of cats and witness a deer being taken one time. Have a friend that had to take a bear out up in Alaska on a claim. Too much trouble tryin to prove you had no other choice.

I still like the "3 S" method best, would work good for Pelosi too ;-)
