Just wondering if anyone has seen a pipe bowl like this before. It appears to be carved from pipestone and has a human face on the front. It also has a keel on the underside which makes me think it could be Mi’kmaq? Would love to know your thoughts.

What's the story behind it? It does look like pipestone.
Sadly, I don’t know its story. A picker friend of mine acquired a small collection of pipes and other indigenous items from a local Chippewa family. All the pipes seem to be from the Great Lakes region. Beside this one, I also picked up these two:

That bottom red pipe is a classic looking one. I've found a lot of points and some hardstone but never a pipe. I know very little about them. Those all look nice.

Yes, it sure is. And, it has a name on it! Looks to me like “F: Stately”.

And, I don’t know anyone who’s found a pipe in the field. I guess they are just less common than many other items.

First one looks like a homemade weed pipe. has saw and file marks on it. So ancient would be out. Black one also has file marks. red one has English writing on it more American style letters. JMO call them what ya want.
