Whatever it was used for, it is really cool. A swimmingly great find.
Looks like there is a hole in the dorsal fin, maybe a necklace or a key chain.
Cool find.
What's it made out of??
Very nice! Are there any attachment areas on it?
Likely was hanging off something, although, I doubt it was a necklace pendant. (Looks Heavy)
It has that 1700's artistic look to it, I don't know what else to call it.
Maybe part of a wind chime?
A door knocker? Nice find whatever it is.
that's really cool. my vote is for part of a wind chime
Hi Mr.T =) If it was there would be an attachment point on the tail don't ya think? It has attachment point on the top middle fin only. Still a good idea tho =) Agree on it being nice, it sure has caused a lots of head scratching on this end, and it made the hunt interesting, cause variety sure helps when no old coins turn up and of course you keep hoping !
Thanks for the reply !
Hi again- Thats what got me puzzled, but heres something I saw
that could help. Or not. This is a photo of an imitation door knob I found.View attachment 1052515
Obviously it's just another guess, but it's been fun trying to figure out.
