Had a quick hunt today. The dirt was brick-city so I went to the spot with the most shade. Still like brick but got an Indian 19xx and eventually another 1892. Then I got a signal that did not repeat at any other angle, but it sounded real nice. What popped out is a coin so nice I wouldn't believe it was dug unless I unearthed it myself .

That's a beautiful coin. So rare to find them that nice, but when they do happen, it's amazing.

Congrats!

Thanks Buck. I'm pretty confident that little gem fell the year it was minted in 1897. Most of the time we guess circulation time, but every now and then, we find such a pristine example that you know it was lost right after mintage.

sweet barber !! I found mine the same way almost not believing it came out of the ground , but i found it myself ! different year but same quality , again grats !!

Great Barber!! Ive found a Merc like that before that looked like it came out of a holder..Thats a BeauT!

Amazing condition for a underground coin. Nice , nice
Must be great to hunt all week without no work schedule . Enjoy your retirement .

Lol. Retirement is 30 years away for me....

I'm super busy but make a 30-45 minutes of free time between work and home/kids, a few times a week. It's my sanity time;)
