If you have any numismatic inclinations at all that is. Pulled a nice coin today that's probably worth around $1,000. Paid $8. And got a 40% silver half in that bunch too. :) If you estimate melt on the 40% half and toss in face value for the quarter, dime and cent also in there, you're looking at a net cost of $2.50 for that $1,000 coin. I'm sure some of the more intelligent individuals here will be able to figure out what it is.

I'll get it slabbed, flip it, and buy something nice with the proceeds. Or maybe just add it to my CRH capital. Or maybe just buy a whole bunch of junk silver.

It's a NO S proof coin, just not sure which one. Am I the winner???

A three legged buffalo.

Oops. I hadn't refreshed the page in a while and so I did not see the newer posts.

I would love to cherry pick one of those but honestly never looked cuz I didn't think dealers were dumb enough not to catch it. Not the 68 dime cuz that one is WAY more than 1000$... 71 nick doesn't include a silver half...

Sounds to me like you found a proof or uncirculated set with an error in it, or a rare year/mint mark set. I only read the post quick but it sounded like you got "extra' coins along with the one worth a g

haha I don't know which one though

Not a no-S. Think condition rarities.

Small date 1970 penny. Or a ddo penny fom a 65 to 70 proof set. Nice work!

A high grade full steps Jefferson nick. What year?

Darn it I want to know. What kind of dealer sells a $1000 coin for $8?

Warmer... but not quite.

I'm checking other forums...any luck you are members on others and they guessed it already!!! Be right back...

I'm getting tired. I need to go to bed but I have to know.

Not a lot of US coins in a modern date range worth that much.

My guess would be a 1909 VDB-S if it is not a gold coin.

Not to be rude but when the heck are you going to tell us?! You must be imagining things and over exaggerating.
