Had one of those "Paleo" hunts today! Me and a buddy went to my Folsom site where I found a really nicely made Folsom base, a Folsom preform tip and another graver. There was a few other odds and ends but I didn't bother taking any pictures.
After that we stopped by another one of my good spots and I scored a really nice 2½" Agate Basin.

Hey Mike, I love that rodent gnawn flaking on the Folsom pieces and the defining flute channel(s). Speechless over the Agate Basin. I know it made you grin big! Thanks. That KRF is a favorite of mine I'm sure you know.

Very nice base. Like Terry said that edge work is truly masterful. That AB is a killer for sure. Congrats!

Thanks Tdog! That Folsom edgework is beyond amazing on that base! I wasn't expecting to find anything at my Folsom site but it coughed up a few more again! I found the Agate Basin about 1/2 mile to the west of my Folsom site. I called my buddy over when I found it so he could see it before I picked it up....not too often you find Paleo, let alone complete!

Thanks Rg! I had lots of luck on my side today, that's for sure! Sadly my buddy only found a couple tools and that was it. It's a tough place to hunt....really gotta have your eyes peeled, except for that Agate Basin....that sucker was just laying out in broad daylight!

Thanks od! It was pretty cold, maybe 0 degrees with a good amount of wind so probably closer to -10 to -15 but you don't notice the cold as much when you're finding Paleo!

The Agate Basin is a beauty, and the workmanship on the Folsom is phenomenal!
