Most Efficient: Time Domain or Frequency Domain ?

This may not be a fair question because the BBS and FBS machines use considerably more frequencies than the few multi-frequency, Time Domain detectors that I am aware of. But, the question does seem to pose some interesting thoughts---of which I hope several readers will provide.

Not real sure on the question but a single frequency machine would be more efficient than multi as it can track ground changes better.
