Mysterious lead object

This piece was found along a stream in Southeastern Pennsylvania last summer. It measures 1.5" tall, 1.0" width and 0.5" thick and weighs 92.1 grams (~3 troy ounces).The piece stands straight up when placed on a counter-top. Its appears to be lead and Its density falls between lead and silver but closer to silver. Have you seen anything like this? Thanks

I am probably wrong but to me, it appears to be a crudely made Silver Pendant possibly made by Native American Indians or early Settlers!

I did! cool find though! It is a strange find! Very interesting!

your in an area with rich history! If you think this is something? I would take it to a local university and ask if they have any thoughts also. Just an Idea.

Looks like a throw net weight possibly made with trade lead. I have found something similar near Kingston, NY.

I'm sorry I don't. Traded that weight for two old silver halves in 2010. I'll see if Frank - "FMERG" has any.

Why would a Native American fabricate or wear a pendant with a European face? The title says the object is lead and I believe him.

I think the profile is just imagination. I agree with the others. Its a crude fishing net, decoy or sounding weight.

The surface looks pretty old, here is something similar I found years ago at a CW campsite. Mine is probably a homeade pendant or ID tag. Yours may be a similar unfinished one.

Looks like part of a bar of plumbing solder. Did you post it on this forum for a positive ID?

I cant imagine someone using a heavy soft piece of lead for a pendant or an ID tag.

Just looks like a home made fishing weight that was hammered into a square shape to me. You should see all the home made ones that are found in the bays around here.

Hey Folks. This is super easy to figure out if it is lead. Talk a soldering iron to the edge and see if it starts melting. If it does...lead or lead alloy. If it doesn't...something else and we move to step two. It looks super cool to me. Can the OP perform this test for us? Otherwise we are just grasping at straws...
