Since the weather is pretty nice here today, upper 70's and all, I figured I'd hit the beach for a couple of hours after lunch.

I managed to miss all the gold, but did seem to luck into some silver coins. The green machine was singing out some nice tones for the silver. The new coins were nice, but the silver was just loads more fun to dig up.

I did find a 1952 penny, which qualifies as a State of Florida artifact. I'm going to have to ship it to the state folks C.O.D. I suppose.

I wonder if they will send me a nice thank you letter or something?

Just remember who owns the money. Not the state but the Fed. Money 50 year Artifact only if you believe the states own the money.
