I had day off and after did my chores , decided to go to old fort site for a quick hunt. It s started to HOT here in New Mexico and I got jumpy signal 26/28,29/32 deep. Awesome find, I always wonder what was going on in the area and how the person who dropped the old coin felt when they realized it was gone. I would imagine in 1833 money that 1/4 real would be around $5-$10 in today’s money. I know I would be bummed if I lost a 5 or 10 spot! Lol

I’m from way farther west on I-10 - Phoenix. One of these winters I want to do a trip to the Lordsburg / Deming area.
