I had day off and after did my chores , decided to go to old fort site for a quick hunt. It s started to HOT here in New Mexico and I got jumpy signal 26/28,29/32 deep. Congrats !! I have to admit you guys have been making my eyes turn a little green with all of your old fort finds !!

We just scratched the surface and been finding relics that I only dream of , civil war artifacts in New Mexico, WOW!!!!!

I probably have 10 1/4 de Reales found around forts and military camp sites fro the southern half of New Mexico

Old original post but still a great find. The legend in English reads Sovereign State of Chihuahua. That particular variety had a three year run. Your coin was from the first year; and the most valuable.
