There's been lots of new stuff shared, photos of Travis as a sharp-dressed-man, original negatives, excerpts from Travis's manuscript and more blurred out pictures than NASA has ever given out to the UFO fans. Don't tell me you missed all of that !!

I don't think we're done with the Bonnie and Clyde thing just yet.
Linda never replied to my last query on the subject, and while I first brought it up as something off the wall, I'm beginning to suspect that their obvious trust in Travis may have led to greater things for him at some point after their demise. After all, B&C weren't no Robin Hood and Maid Marian, and Travis no Friar Tuck.

You know we'll never see anything that important like what you guys have been passing around in the backroom so stop being so self righteous. You can tease with tid bits of info but what do we really have? Just whatever you, Ryan, Lynda, and whomever want us to have nothing more. It's a good way to lock up a conversation and make yourself look big by controlling not only the story, but, the evidence flow used for the story. You take us one way then the other. It's a nice ride but I think it's a stolen Oldsmobile. Probably taken during one of those B&C heists.


Give us something we can sink our teeth into like maybe one of Travis's Diary's? OH, Thats right, it's copyrighted to someone else. And why would someone go that far as to copyright someone elses old famliy heirlooms?

The exchange, and the "sucker" comment have been discussed and dissected here also.

Not that I am aware of. At least I haven't seen such a letter.
But I think Grace Mitchell wrote something to Bernice McGee about Aileen meeting with Mitchell and making the exchange when Aileen was on her way from Hood River to Stockdale to decorate Travis' grave. That might be what you are thinking of.
The family, however, has said that the "sale and sucker incident" occurred during one of Aileen's trips from Stockdale to Dallas for cancer treatment. They have also said that Mitchell was camped out on a family property and ( pestering ? ) during her treatment, which would have been some time after Travis' passing.

Azmula's article in the SMHS newsletter (Part 1), included this e-mail he received from someone in the family in July of 2009....

somehiker, when you recently posted graphics of the Hopi stone tablets, were you just doing so to point out another example of portable carved stones, or were you hinting at a link with the Hopi tablets to the PSMs? I assume the former, but wanted to clarify your meaning - not that Pahana, the missing white brother, might somehow be tied to other Arizona pre-Columbian mysteries in some manner. [I would have posted this on your new thread on the other forum, but they apparently don't want me there - at least twice in the past few years have rejected my attempts to register. Oh, well ... simplifies my time demands, actually.]

Travis died in 1961, his wife in 1963. Not much of an interval to allow for "would have been some time after Travis' passing." Hard to believe that a recovered golden treasure resulting in "bank accounts, investments, properties, and several other fancy cars" (your quote) could have been so quickly squandered in only two years. Possible of course, but unlikely.

Why would a woman, the supposed heir to a large recovered treasure (buried gold or stolen loot), take the time on her way to cancer treatments to stop and make such a trivial sale?
Always a possibility, but unlikely.

What is much more likely is that there was no buried golden treasure, or any stash of Bonnie and Clyde's ill gotten treasure recovered.

Sorry Hal,

I don't know what you are referring to. Quote me directly and I may just find that lost endorsement memory. I don't have any idea who weaverneedle is and don't really care. In any case, I don't approve every statement my friends may make here. Sometimes I don't even approve some of my own statements. I try to impart small bits of knowledge about the legends and the terrain in the Supes, but I am quickly loosing interest.
